Gillies

I made these cute, little shoes, by the way. I have been wanting a pair midieval moccosins and found a pattern for these gillies online. I'm in the process of modifying the pattern so I can make them into boots. Of course, they won't ever be winter-safe, but that's not my intention. I'll post the process when I have them done. I'm also in the process of making another pillow, this one for my little cousin, so when I get that done, I'll start on my boots, AFTER I post the process for the pillow as well.

Goodness I'm a busy person when it comes to my projects, lol.

Pillow

I had never made a pillow before. This was about a month ago. I had heard of people going into home ec class and making pillows that looked soooo funny. But I never took home ec, and I haven't been in school for about a year, so I winged it. Thanks to my previous learning of needle point, I know crossstitch, and what not. I sewed everything by hand except the zipper. That was put on with the machine.

I gave it to my therapist because she is seeing me, my gramma, and my little cousin, so I took all of our hands and put them on the pillow. She almost cried, which made me proud because I did it right!

Christmas

I cannot stand the holidays! It's the time of year your annoying family comes to visit and refuse to leave even when you set their clothes on fire along with the tree on the front porch.
But this year, I didn't kill myself, which means that I did a few things to decorate. I don't mind decorating because it can often requite a finesse, but the holiday can still go fuck itself.

I got these glass cake plates as a gift at a Mary Kay thing, and I thought I'd never use them so I gave them to my Gramma, but when I pulled them out for this, Gramma convinced me to keep them. If anything, I can fill them with stuff on my future counters or something.

I found a cookie-tree thing in the attic, so I baked one up. It took me FOREVVVEEEERRRRR!!!!

At least I didn't kill myself this year, right?

Paint

I do nails, too! Unfortunately, I haven't taken many pictures of them, but here are 2. The second may just look like simple Crackle on gold paint, but not so. I used gold leaf to gild my nails before I added the crackle. I have had them plain gold before, but it's waaay to shiny!

I painted this several months ago. I couldn't believe how awesome it looked! I went it to paint a nebula, came out with a multi-colored supernova! That star is dead. DEAD I SAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!

Toys

It's always a hazard when I get my hands on kid toys. I didn't have toys when I was little, so I can't help it!
I know these little darlings were supposed to be princesses, but that's no fun, you know what I mean?

Box for hire, am I right? lol...

Playdough. Definitely a hazard...

As always, haha!

Petal and Her Bod

Oh, the things I do to my little cousin's chihuahua... Don't worry, I use doggy dyes, so it isn't completely to say that they are 100% safe, but they are peroxide free a gentler on their skin if it comes into contact with it.
My little cousin doesn't mind. In fact, she loved it! When she comes home from school and sees her dog, she gets excited, and so do the kids on her bus. These are the things I have done so far.
The first blue ones I did last summer. I have to wait for all of the dye to wash out before I try again. These are in order, so, you can imagine how much time it takes the color to wash out.

I wanted her to be red, but she came out a mottled bright pink instead. I didn't get any pics of that, but oh, well.

I did, however, manage to salvage her weird color spots with other color spots, so for a few weeks she was tie-dyed.

This is her now. I made this design on her a few weeks ago. I had been planning it for months!

Hope you guys liked that! Again, don't worry, I used animal-safe dyes. They have the dying power of cool aide, I think...
Oh, well. She looks so badass!

Geisha Star!

I turned my little cousin into a geisha. I love the elegance of geisha and she looks so Asian, I just had to. She loved it! Such a good sport, letting me sit and put all that makeup on her.
I'd do her makeup more often, but... Well, I'm too busy with other things right now. This was last summer after I read Memoirs of a Geisha, which was incredible, by the way. Everybody should read it.

This was actually over a year ago. My little cousin is a little rock star, just like me, so I made her one and she posed with her guitar.

She is gonna be a famous guitar soloist someday. I just know it!
